Mary Lynne's Bio Page

Colorado artist, Mary Lynne Pruett states, “Growing up in New Mexico, and living in Colorado has given me a keen insight and appreciation for the Southwest and
Western life.
I have studied with the late Ben Konis (1924 – 2006) and Mike Mahon of Amarillo, TX., Rich Nichols of Taos, NM, and Yvonne Lewis of Kansas to name a few who have influenced
much of my work. In addition, I have often traveled to the Ghost Ranch at Abiquiu, NM and various places in Europe and some of my work reflects those travels.
My work in oil is of a realistic nature, and the works in mixed media collage often extend into an abstract venue.
I don’t profess to deliver any grandiose text regarding my relationship to art. Simply stated, I enjoy the experience of actively creating art, and I hope to convey my work to
others in a very pleasing way. The entire process is exciting, and through it life is richer!”
Pruett’s work can be seen at The Gallery, 701 North Main in Lamar, Colorado, or contact her directly at mlpruett@centurytel.net
